    fortunate to win an autographed Tom White video at last year's charity auction.
     
    As a person I found Tom to be incredibly open and approachable.

    I have just been informed that Tom White passed away early this morning.

    As you know, he was the first person ever to be tested for the Masters, years ago.  I suspect that the records will confirm that he has performed more certification and MCCI certifications than anyone else.

    I have never known a better nor more devoted teacher of fly casting.  One could not spend more than a few minutes with him without learning something !

    All of us who have worked with Tom will miss him greatly.
