Questions on lesson plan from Nial Logan :- (His lesson plan is attached as the first of three attachments. The other two attachments are lesson plans for actual use at an FFF Conclave.)
Hi Gordy,
This is an outline used for planning lessons. Would be interested in your (and others) comments on improvements. In real life, the notes section for the body of the lesson is expanded to include a breakdown of steps, teaching points etc.
Some great info coming through – thanks for the assistance.
Regards
Nial Logan

Nial. What you have submitted is an overall plan for what you intend to do. Fine, as far as it goes, but not enough to have you go through your lessons and know that you have allotted just the right amount of time for each task, event, or demonstration so that you can be confident that you won't run out of time before you have completed your teaching.
Let's have some of you who have experience with lesson plans comment on Nial's basic plan.
Here are my brief comments:
1.) I'd like to see actual times .... number of minutes for each presentation.
2.) For your final lesson plan, you will need to expand on your, OUTLINE OF CONTENT AND CONDUCT. This will require an actual outline to add to your basic outline on exactly what you will be teaching and doing with times for each action. This includes your actual lesson broken down into steps. Your message indicates that is what you intend to do.
Jim Valle has just completed the latest draft of a lesson plan he and I will follow as we give our workshop class on Casting In High Winds at the Conclave in August. This is the second of the three attachments to this message. It will give you an idea of how most of us do this.
The third attachment is for a workshop on, Difficult Casts to Difficult Places.
