You bet. Synonyms, as I see it, include, CASTING ARC, & CASTING ANGLE.
ROD ARC: The angular change in the position of the butt section of the rod from that at the beginning of the cast to that at the end.
(Some will use similar wording, but leave out the word, "section". The reason I prefer it is that it omits any confusion with the true, "butt end" of some fly rods which would be the reciprocal of the former angle (albeit the same angular dimension)
