Gordie;
GREAT analysis of Lefty’s teaching.
He speaks to his audience.
In the case of the MCCI’s, we have to get more into depth.
If we did that in front of our students – even some MCCI’s – they would run away screaming.
However, the job you are doing getting in depth on these subjects are an eye opener, at least for me.
On another note, I will be selling my flats boat. I have decided not to guide here – since I will only be here for 3 months each year.
Peter Lami is looking at buying it and I will know soon.
If he doesn’t take it, let me know if you know of anyone in the market.
I worked with Jerry Simons yesterday, and interesting enough, we had to get his trajectory straightened out first. That wasn’t the intent of the lesson, but he was allowing the back cast to fall below the SLP on every cast.
Once we got him some line speed, and made him conscious of his timing, it straightened out.
We also worked on changing trajectories, similar to having brush behind him – one of the toughest as you know.
Fresh water fishers unlike Salt Water anglers have fewer problems with trajectory. I think it comes with having brush behind them, or at least wading in deeper water and having to keep the line off the brush/water.
Keep those cards and letters coming; I for one enjoy the banter.

CONGRATS TO TRAVIS ! I knew he'd pass......I had given him a several hour, "pre-test" and workshop about a week or so prior to his taking the test. He was doing just GREAT.....and I feel he'll be a good MCI candidate !
