I attended my first national convention last year and certainly agree with what Jim says about the Rendezvous and the classes. As a newcomer, I had to learn that one can't be bashful or intimidated about asking for help from the experts. I still think we're missing an opportunity to invite the public in (with signs & ads) for free casting clinics out on the front lawn. Maybe the local shops are taking care of that on a regular basis.
In any event, I can't wait to learn more from all of you and thank you for making yourselves available.

[GH] The CASTING RENDEZVOUS is so effective as a teaching venue for many reasons some of which I've listed :
1. Casters come with specific problems to solve.
2. Their motivation level is high.
3. Our volunteer instructors are enthusiastic top-of-the line teachers with many years of experience. They are there because the love what they do.
4. The informal "CAN DO" attitudes contribute to a vibrant.... almost electric learning atmosphere !
5. Most important : IT IS PURE FUN !
