    Walter & Group...

[GH]  Peter Morse mentions the leader layout :

Gordy, I think its also important that the leader layout for the wiggle cast be straight out and not part of the wiggles.

    [GH]  Peter,

I look for that on the mend tasks.  I have not been insisting upon this for task 3.

Thanks to Dusty for clarifying what this task expectations will be on the revisions.  To be quite honest I just can't seem to form the waves that are required by manipulating the rod during the casting stroke.  To me, it seems to violate the  " elimination of slack line " essential, by introducing slack into the line during the casting stroke (in the form of the intended wave.)  Is there a situation where we would teach a student to accomplish this as a " cast" instead of an aerial mend, especially when, to me anyway, the aerial mend would be more precise and effective.?

    [GH]  Doug,

No.  No requirement to do it as a true cast.

[GH]  Additional clarification by Dusty :

    Gordy,

Ally's drawings are really quite elegant, beautiful,......however, the lower drawing indicates the caster would be beginning with much more line than approx. 40 feet.......not the case here.
