I would be willing to give it a try. I suspect
that this is one of those things that would see a flurry
of activity up front and then die off. Give me a
couple of days and I'll set something up on my web site.

Your last
statement is probably the best answer. Would you be willing to host it
?
Gordy
Gordy,
Off the record - There must
be a way to have interesting discussions
without degrading into open
combat. I find science interesting in that
many people have the idea
that science is based on facts and the "scientific"
method but the
reality is that almost any idea can be both proven
and
disproven and the result is that discussions degrade into name
calling.
I'm sure most of the people in the study group really
would like to explore
the mechanics in greater detail since this can
only help them to become
better instructors.
I remember that
just a couple of years ago we all thought that proper application
of
power was accelerated acceleration. Bruce and Noel turned that idea on
its
head and provided the experimental proof to go along with it. I
know there
are some people who aren't interested in exploring the
physics involved
in minute detail but I'm sure that even these people
are comforted in knowing that
the physics that backs up the smooth
acceleration concept is sound.
Not sure what the answer is. Have
you got any suggestions? I'm willing
to invest time into it if I can
help. Perhaps a highly moderated discussion group
dedicated to casting
physics?
Thanks
Walter
