I agree 100 % with gaining mobility well before going for strength !

Let's hope that posterior labrum is sufficiently stable as to require no surgery.

    Subject: MRI Results.

    Good news and bad news.

First the good stuff. No full thickness tears of the rotator cuff. Looks like some partial tears
along with tendonitis and some other minor problems.

The bad news is that there may be some problems with the posterior labrum and I need
another MRI with injected dye to get a clearer picture of the area... More waiting.

I came across what appears to be a very good article regarding shoulder rehabilitation and injury
prevention. It specifically talks about athletes who are in to overhead throwing activities.

What I really like about this article is that it doesn't jump right in to the typical strengthening
exercises for the rotator cuff. Instead it shows some very good stretching exercises to ensure
full mobility before starting a strengthening routine. Looks like these stretches would also
be good preventative therapy as well.

I think I will give the stretching a try for a while before doing any more strengthening exercises.

    Cheers

    Walter
