Bryan Nims (as many of you know) is one of our members. He is Tom
White's nephew. This message came in to me from him, yesterday:-
Guys, I'm thinking you may be able to help one of my
students. A delightful couple, Bob and Merle Holland
received casting lessons from me about a year ago. They were excited
and looking forward to their upcoming 2nd trip to Alaska to fish for silvers at
Hidden Cove in September. Unfortunately, Merle experienced a
bleeding brain aneurysm recently, has just come out of a coma and needless to
say, they will not be able to travel. The following email from Bob
outlines the trip and, a weblink to the camp is
http://www.flyfishingtravel.com/alaska/hidden.html
He has paid for the trip in advance and is willing to sacrifice $1900 if
someone is interested in buying. Someone could end up with a pretty
nice trip here and Bob would be grateful to recoup as much as possible.
I would appreciate any ideas you may have to help him find a buyer.
I have copied Bob on this message so anyone can contact him
directly.
Thanks in advance for you help!
Bryan

After gaining permission, I'm posting this to see if any of you (now 160
members, strong) would like to help out and, at the same time, take advantage of
a most generous offer.
This is an exceptional area to experience the very best fly fishing Alaska
has to offer. It was booked through the FLY SHOP at Redding, Ca., a very
reliable outfit with many years of first class performance.
Since we are about to be hit by a hurricane (rain bands already and winds of
48mph..... center of the storm only 88 miles to our South and coming for a
direct hit.) best reply to Bryan or directly to Bob
Holland.
We may be cut off from power and cable for an undetermined time. Even
cell phone towers fail during these storms.
