Walter & Group........
From Bruce Richards on Curves and Loop planes:
Hi Gordy and Jeff,
I think we've gotten to the point with this one
where we need to cast
together to make sure we're all on the same wavelength.
I haven't thought
of curves in nearly the detail and variety as you have and
suspect my
vision is much more simplistic than yours. It is good to see that
we all
agree (I think) on the loop plane issue, it is very hard to do these
casts
with a vertical plane and a wrist flick..... Personally, I have
little
interest in doing casts a hard way if an easier way is available!
I
still believe that overpowered curves are caused entirely by the "kick"
of
the overpowered loop and that the rod tip counterflex (which impacts
loop
bottom leg) doesn't impact that, but I'd sure like to watch others
make the
cast, I'm sure we don't do everything the same.
Sorry I couldn't spend
more time on this, I've been out a bit recently and
am far behind on a lot of
things....
Regards,
Bruce
