    From Lewis Hinks:

    Hi Gordy,

Thanks for that creative use of the Snap-T. I had the exact same scenario in Cuba, but I did not think of the Snap-T as a solution, and ended up missing the bonefish. Will certainly use the Snap-T, when bonefishing, the next time one of them sneaks up behind me.

    All the best,
    Lewis

    From Al Crise:-

    Howdy Gordy
I first saw the Snap Cast with Jason's Dad Gary
He did a Club Show in Ft Worth in the early 90s
He had a story to go with it of course.
"The Guide said that he thought my hook was dull or I had broken the point off."
A Snap Cast set the fly into or just over their shoulder, of the person standing next to Gary. "Here you are the guide, you check it."
You told of Floyd casting to rings behind them. So I have worked my Snap Cast with many Shows.
A couple of things to remember:
The heigth of the rod tip when the downward cast is started is the height of the loop.
The lower you can get the loop the less the wind bothers it.
Watch the rod tip if you are snap casting a weighted fly.
If you are useing it to check YOUR fly Start with your rod tip higher and off to the casting arm side. Catch the line on your rod. Raise the rod tip and the line will slide down to your hand. This is less painfull than a impailment.
Now the question of how to set the hook with all this slack and the redfish or what ever just 10 ft at 4 o'Clock muching on the fly. Just tap your foot or stomp the bottom. The fish will set him self.
When you pratice do it at all Casting Angles. It will make you just feel Good.

    Hi Gordy,
one of my favourite subjects! Not sure about GF's history lesson,
    (he forgot to tell anyone) however;
The Snap Curve is made very well by Carlos here
     http://www.sexyloops.com/carlos/snapcurvecast.shtml
Me I enjoy aerial Snap Single Speys/Switches as opposed to the on-to-the-water
SnapT (snap over instead of under!):

    Cheers from Alberta!

Paul:  Doing it in the air is a lot more demanding.  Timing and rod positions are critical.   You are right about Carlos !       Gordy
