Walter & Group....................
This is to add to the latest string of messages I sent earlier, today. (Bruce is aware that I DO use the term, "pull" when teaching ) :-
Gordy.

Gordy,
I don't use the terms "pull" and "push" when teaching, you
have
to explain
what you mean before they make sense. I simply relate
tha
concept to rod
rotation, early vs. late. Late rotation is "pulling".
The more
casts we
electronically analyze the more I see that delayed
rotation is
probably the
single biggest thing that separates great casters
from good
casters. Once
angular acceleration starts it must be constant
from beginning
to end of
stroke to make the best, most efficient loops.
Nearly all
non-elite casters
have some degree of early, slow rotation.
Getting them to delay
rotation by
just .1-.2 sec. makes a noticeable
difference in their casts.
Unfortunately,
without electronic analysis this
early rotation is very hard to
detect.
