Charlie.....
Very usable analogy. Tom White uses a similar one. (His famous, "Ferrari lecture".)
I sometimes refer to a car accelerating through 4 gear shifts. A clutch car might well be driven with jerky acceleration by an inexperienced driver........that's analagous to the non-smooth cast.
Modern automatic transmission cars generally accelerate so smoothly that one can't tell when the shifting is occurring.
THAT'S THE SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH CAST!

Dear Gordy things are pretty good here. It is perfect day to cast but I had to go out the back door and shovel around to the front, but no wind. Got a few sail fish. It sure was quick. Used rio shooting head with 80 ft of 40 lb mono connected to backing using surgeons loops. No trouble/ A little trevally or king or even chum will fight harder.
going to Brazil inMarch for peacock. Also have stenosis. Doing a lot of therapy prior to having anything done. The Dr suggested a lot of therapy. Looks is if he will do the roto rooter job the middle of april
Have a comment on being smooth I tell my students it is like being in a car at a stop light. The light turns green, you take your foot off the brake, put it on the gas and start to accelerate. You go from slow to a little faster, then a little more faster ,then faster then fastest The lenght of acceleration and the rate can both vary. NO PEELING RUBBER NO TRYING TO BEAT THE NEXT LIGHT WHEN IT IS YELLOW Now comes the word SMOOOOOOOOTH for me this works charlie
