I had some e-conversation over the value of teaching what you have
learned. I thought I'd pass this on to you MCI candidates. You will
find great value toward passing your test in taking the time to actually teach
each concept and task/cast/correction to someone else. In essence, that is
what you will be doing as you are tested with the examiner often taking the
position of a casting student.

That concept....that if
you really understand it, you can teach it was carried to the max by Joan Wulff
in the instructor course that she used to give a few years
ago.
She had each of us teach
various things she had taught us to a person she brought in who had no knowledge
of casting , as the others watched. She and Floyd would critique our
instructing ability right in the field.
This concept can be
looked at in reverse, as well : When you teach something, it helps
solidify the information and organize it better in your
brain.
