100%  CORRECT !   Out of 19 replies, your was the only one right on target.

 

I have been using this line on an 8wt loomis 4 pc. GLX rod for a lot of the striper fishing I've been doing, here on Long Island.  It has done everything well, including the casting of #1 1/24th Oz eyed Clousers.  I hadn't expected it would perform so well with the wide range of flies we used.....poppers, sliders, 4" deceivers, etc.

 

It is clear, with a mono core......but that core is of relatively soft mono, so it performed well in the cold water and with the cold front weather we had last week.  Doesn't take a set on the reel easily, either.
