    Walter & Group....

    Request from Ed Chamberlain :

Purpose of email, other than to say thank you once again for your leadership of the study group and the benefits for so many.  I have read, and seen in print, the history of FFF Casting Instructor / Certification Program, but for life of me cannot find it.  Need a copy for both my archives and to draw from for the CI workshop upcoming.  Scott Swartz said you may have a copy in your SG archives?  If so, can you please send a copy or direct me.  Greatly appreciated.

Scott and I fished on Grand Bahama a few weeks back as part of the Atlanta FF Club Alzheimer's benefit Hunt for
Bonefish.  Good time had by all and about $14K raised this year so all around success.

    Ed

    Ed,

First, let me congratulate you and the others of the Atlanta FFF club for your benefit work !

I placed a copy of the second draft of the History of the BOG / CICP  in an attachment.  Many if not most of our members have seen this previously.

Please understand, that this document is only the latest draft.  It may undergo a few revisions and additions in the near future.

I should also point out that some of us have been trying to advance the Casting Instructor Certification Program beyond what was felt to be largely a program for fresh water fly casters and fly fishers.  We have now gone more deeply into other disciplines including salt water fly fishing and big game fly fishing.  This includes new insights into other effective methods of teaching and casting styles including those of Lefty Kreh, Ed Jaworowski, and others in the field.

    Gordy
